An Ingram Road home is a write-off after a fire over the weekend in Erin Mills.
Mississauga Fire Platoon Chief says thankfully there were no injuries from the blaze, which crews responded to just before 11:30 pm on Friday, but the cost of the damage is an estimated $400,000. Hills said there was no one home at the time of the incident.
When crews arrived on the scene after a neighbour called, smoke was coming from the roof of the home and there was a working fire in the basement, where, Hills says, the blaze appears to have started.
He said it took 40 firefights to battle the blaze into the early hours of Saturday morning.

Smoke detectors are law because they save lives. Monitored smoke and carbon monoxide detectors can help save people, homes and buildings by alerting authorities even when you don’t know you need them.
