Residential Security
A household has both people and assets to protect.
Your security solution should prevent or discourage someone from trying to gain illegal access to your home and possessions. To create a customized protection system for your home and occupants, we always recommend a visit to better understand your needs and security concerns.
At CAIRN Smarter Security, we offer tailor-made solutions for your home that will best protect your assets and occupants.
To secure your home, we may recommend using physical security, visual security, and/or cameras. In addition, My Smarter Home™ can make your home smarter and safer with Smart Home Automation.

Physical Security
Deadbolt locks and physical barriers on sliding doors and windows are your first defense in protecting your home. A basic alarm system (one control panel, one keypad, one motion detector, and up to three doors or windows) is included with our monitoring contract. We highly recommend a hard-wired system rather than wireless whenever possible. Wireless systems require annual battery maintenance and all-in-one systems located at the door may be quickly bypassed. Most homes would be better secured with more than just the basics.
A customized protection analysis includes assessing whether additional door and window contacts, motion detectors, and glass break sensors would provide extra security for your home. Other physical protection concerns often overlooked are detectors for fire, water leakage, and low-heat.
As well, we offer optional line-cut protection or cellular back-up to protect against phone line issues. With a cellular back-up unit, you no longer need a telephone line to monitor your alarm system. All our systems are monitored 24/7 by our ULC-listed monitoring station partner.
Visual Security
Schedule lights and blinds to give the appearance that someone is home. When the alarm is set, locks can be engaged automatically so you'll never leave doors unlocked. Never arrive home to a dark house again. A simple Good Night button confirms locks are engaged, arms the security system, checks the garage door, and turns out the lights. My Smarter Home™ makes this and more possible.
Camera Systems
While cameras may not prevent theft, a well-planned and properly installed camera system will provide valuable information should something happen. As well, cameras typically act as a deterrent and may prevent issues from arising. Camera systems can offer other benefits like remote access viewing while you're on vacation or at work. Mobile application for cameras allow real-time monitoring of your home from virtually anywhere in the world.
CAIRN Smarter Security has the experience and knowledge to recommend and implement a customized asset protection system for your home. Call us today for a no-obligation quote.
